Postpartum Doula Support

Postpartum Doulas are trained in postpartum adjustment, newborn characteristics, care, feeding and development and the promotion of parent-infant bonding. A postpartum doula is a woman trained to give in-home care to mothers with newborn babies.  By dedicating ourselves to your family, the postpartum doula validates and enhances your intuitive ability to nurture and encourages you to develop and implement your own parenting style.
 
For some mothers, a postpartum doula is an invaluable asset.  Some women are able to come home from the hospital into the arms of a supportive spouse, mother or friend while others don't have anyone.  This could be because their spouse is deployed or perhaps because they have just relocated and don't have anyone nearby.  For these mothers, a professional postpartum doula is an excellent alternative.
