About a SF Bay Area Birth
& Posptartum Doula

Seattle/ Kent Birth Doula
Doulaville Doula Angie

As a doula I bring a lot to the table.  When I'm with you, you are my everything.  I sync my aura up with yours and from there we labor together. I may not feel the contractions in my womb, but I definitely feel them in my heart.  I am then able to provide just the right support at just the right time.  This is a tool that requires skill, patience, intuitiveness, willingness and an open heart and mind.

I have been practicing these skills professionally since 2004. I am constantly learning new things from other doulas, workshops, conferences and trainings. Recently, I decided to seek recognition for my birth work in the way of professional certification. I have since been working towards certifying with an outstanding organization, Birth Arts International (BAI).

My own personal birth experiences include a near-emergency induction (and almost cesarean!), two preemies and a "termie", preeclampsia, two doulas, a surrogacy and postpartum depression. All three beautiful babies were born in great health and breastfed like champs!

Being a part of your baby's birth is very special to me and something I will always cherish.  I want you to have the best birth experience and memories possible and I'm delighted to help you make it yours. I look forward to meeting you and welcoming your baby earth-side!

Testimonials

" I was really scared to have a natural [vaginal] birth. Angie helped me find my inner strength and courage. She stayed right beside me through the birth of my twins.  When I thought I couldn't do it anymore she said all the right things to remind me how strong I was.  I already have her tentatively booked for our next birth."

"My first experience giving birth left me frightened and anxious. With my second, my cousin told me about her doula, Angie. I reluctantly agreed to meet Angie. Upon meeting her I immediately felt her warmth and kindness. Upon speaking with her I knew she was exactly the kind of person I could allow into my birth space. I could not have had my son at home without her. She had a way about her; her words; her voice; even the sweet smell of her hair. Angie, you are tremendous love!"

"There's so many wonderful things about my doula [Angie]... I can't say enough! She's amazing! So supportive! I asked [the nurse] to get down [off the bed] and when they said I couldn't I broke down and cried! My doula [Angie] went to my duffel, grabbed some stuff, took off her shoes and climbed in bed with me. She rocked with me and hugged me and she hummed a song. We don't know what song it is but we hummed through all my rushes until the baby came. I liked it! She taught me the song, too, so now I can hum to my sweat pea."

" Thank you for being the best doula ever! 8 mins of pushing wouldn't have happened without you for sure!"
